MEA June 2017

26 MEA MARKETS / JUNE 2017 , Intelligent Business Technologies LLC (IBT) is one of the largest technology and BPO companies inMiddle East and European region. They offer end to end technology and outsourcing solutions to empower business and its processes. We were fortunate to interview Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Jai Mulani to find out more about the company’s work and their role in the wider industry of the region. On the Edge of Technology Predominantly, Intelligent Business Technologies LLC (IBT) has two business divisions, technology and business process outsourcing (BPO). So, let’s talk about technology first. They cater for technology solutions, including but not limited to data centre, network, telecom, Cloud computing, virtualisation and disaster recovery. In terms of business process outsourcing (BPO), IBT offer IT outsourcing, call centre outsourcing, data mining, data verification and any kind of back office services which enables their prospective customers to focus on their core activity. IBT serves medium and large businesses, in any industry or vertical. The company’s Chief Executive Officer, Jai Mulani is keen to provide his insights into the state of the industry currently and any issues that are affecting them in the Middle East and further afield. “The growth of our technology business is directly associated with the real estate growth of any region. As the infrastructure of a country grows, it needs technology to go alongside it. But today, as we are aware, real estate is in mild state as the global economy undergoes a filtration process. Once this economic filtration process has been completed, it will make the economy stronger and more vibrant. “IBT’s BPO division is growing at a fantastic rate. We are doing very well when it comes to outsourcing business, because during the economic filtration process, everyone needs efficiency gains and increased productivity with less cost. So, that’s where we come into business. Our capabilities and skill set deliver this very efficiently, which makes our customer more profitable and saves their costs, hence we grow with our client. “We are currently focusing on the Middle East and European countries, having established our presence in UAE, Qatar, India and the United Kingdom. Moving forward, we will be stepping into US market over next two to three years.” Jai is then keen to explain more about the vital role technology plays in the company’s work. “We are ourselves as a technology company, hence we must be on edge of this. Our business today is 100% depends on technology, starting from hiring an employee to a project sign-off. Technology certainly plays a vital role in our business in all means of storing data, internal processes and communication methods. “To have ourselves on the edge of technology, every Saturday we organise intense trainings for our managers and employees on different technologies so they go, win and deliver best services while they are out on the field. “ Jai is then eager to tell us what the most important thing he has learned as the CEO of IBT and how has this helped him to run a successful company. “The most important element in any business is both the clients they serve and their own employees. On clients, once you have clear goal to deliver world class services and products with suitable profits for your business, then having transparency with them is important because they will always choose you as their preferred vendor. “The same goes to employees, because they are the ones who work for the company. The company needs to ensure its all employees are growing personally and professionally while having balanced life. Once your employees are happy and motivated they will deliver their best as per their capabilities which also can be improved by training and other motivations.” Leaving us with food for thought, 1702ME01 Jai reveals the challenges he has had to overcome as a CEO and his exciting plans for the company in the future. “When we started this company, the biggest challenge was to gain the trust of all employees and indeed the customers. I say this, because when you are new to a company, you are small and you can only offer lower salaries and benefits to your employees. Also, for anyone who is looking for a job or wants to change their current role, they will prefer to work for an established business over a new one. “We overcame this however, by communication with our employees and showing them our growth every single quarter and the company’s vision and goals. We did this so that our employees know that they are with a new but evolving company, so that’s how we won trust of our employees. “My final remark is that our company has great work-force, indeed it will always win the trust of the customer. I believe that our employees and customers will keep growing in number. Looking to the future, we are currently gearing up to have a stronger and deeper market share in Middle Eastern and European countries. Once we reach our target, we will start focusing on the US region.”
