An area of economic growth is the East African Economic Community, and consequently we are exploring development opportunities with clients in countries such as Uganda, Tanzania and Kenya. “Additionally, our focus on Africa is further supported by our Lisbon office, where they are involved in developments in Morocco, and Mozambique and Angola. Our Dubai office is active in Egypt, and this area has experienced a growth in Middle East funded investment.” Building on the achievements of the firm, Zinon and the team at DSA have identified a particular trend within South Africa which they will look to utilise in order to further the company’s success. “In South Africa, we have identified a trend towards Mixed-Use Developments, both in urban and decentralised areas. Developers are focusing on Lifestyle Neighbourhoods and Communities rather than on standalone Commercial or Residential accommodation. This is in an effort to blend urban-style living with the digital workspace. Currently, we are exploring similar development opportunities in the Sandton (Johannesburg) CBD. “Also, we have targeted the refurbishment market where the Commercial building stock is 20 to 30 years old. In order to compete with modern IT and digital requirements, the renovation of these buildings is a very cost-effective way to recycle the buildings into the current property market.” In his concluding comments, Zinon excitedly predicts what the future holds for DSA International, mentioning what plans the company has to move forwards, and how potentially key relationships and partnerships will be of great benefit to the company. “Moving forward, our drive is to make an impact on the developing African market where there is enormous potential and growth. Lastly, in Dubai, DSA recently engaged with a local charity Sixteen10, in raising money supporting the local community in its fight against Cancer. DSA sponsored a golf event ‘Swing against Cancer’ where the money raised was allocated to cancer victims for treatment within the UAE.
